Mr. Fredrick Thomas Martin
Mr. Fredrick Thomas Martin began his career with the U.S. Intelligence Community in 1960 on the front lines as a linguist and intelligence analyst in the Middle East. He retired from the National Security Agency as a computer scientist and Deputy Director of their Information Services Group in 1997. He currently provides consulting services on advanced information technology applications to the Science and Technology Directorate of the Department of Homeland Security, the Intelligence Community, and other government and law enforcement agencies, as well as companies within the private sector. Mr. Martin was an Adjunct Professor for twenty-five years at The American University in Washington, D.C., developing and teaching courses in mathematics, statistics, and computer science. Mr. Martin served as the founding Executive Director of the Government Emerging Technology Alliance, a non-profit organization created to bring companies with emerging information technology together with federal, state, and local government to help advance the use of technology. Mr. Martin currently serves as the Executive Director of the "Interagency Council for Applied Homeland Security Technology" (ICAHST), an ad hoc 50+ member coalition of federal, state, and local agencies. He is the author of the first commercially published book on current intelligence operations within the US Intelligence Community entitled, "TOP SECRET Intranet: How US Intelligence Built INTELINK, the Largest, Most Secure Network." He is an international speaker on information technology and has chaired numerous technical conferences. Mr. Martin holds a masters degree in computer systems/operations research from the American University. His undergraduate degree is in mathematics.
